Nine years in the making.
Crave began in 2017, at home, with a simple idea and a shared obsession with good food.
My mum and I started Crave as a small side business, driven more by passion than by any grand plan. Food had always been a big part of our lives — family recipes, familiar flavours, and the kind of cooking that brings people together.
I think the love for business was always there too. Growing up watching my dad build and run his own business showed me what it meant to create something of your own — to work hard, take chances and keep going.
So, from our home kitchen, Crave began.
We cooked. We experimented. We packed orders. Our family rallied around us, and slowly, our community did too.
In 2019, we took a leap and moved Crave out of our home and into premises of its own. Along the way came Crave Deli — another chapter, another adventure and, ultimately, another lesson. It wasn’t something that proved feasible in the long term, but that chapter helped shape what Crave would eventually become.
Because looking back, the setbacks were never really the end of the road.
They were redirections.
And now, in 2026, nine years after we first began, Crave has been reinvented once again.
This time, we’re going back to the heart of what made us fall in love with it in the first place: people, stories, creativity and things made with meaning.
The Crave you see today still carries our family recipes and the flavours that started it all, but we’ve made the table bigger.
We’ve created a space to celebrate the makers around us — the artists, bakers, cooks, crafters, dreamers and wonderfully creative people making something worth discovering. A collection of food, gifting, homeware, art and handcrafted pieces, each with a person and a story behind it.
Nine years later, we realise that success wasn’t about every idea working exactly as we imagined.
It was about having the courage to keep evolving.
From my mum and me making food at home, to our first premises, to the deli, to closing chapters and beginning new ones — every part of the journey brought us here.
And none of it happened alone.
Crave was built on family recipes, inspired by family, strengthened by their unwavering support, and carried forward by a community that has shown us so much love over the years.
2017 was where we started.
2026 is where the story gets even more interesting.
This is Crave.
Nine years of creating, learning, changing and believing.
And somehow, it still feels like the adventure is only just beginning.
